A new calling!

Last Sunday was my first week as Primary Choirister and I LOVE IT! What a fun calling. I get to goof off and play and teach little people songs that will help to strengthen their testimonies! It is so much fun. I want to be the best I can be so I'm asking for some suggestions from any and all who may read this. Have any of you had this calling before, or do you have any suggestions of activities that can be fun and invite the spirit? Thank you all for you help!

This is also my favorite calling of all time. I have had this chance one several occasions. My favorite is "Seek Christ". Take a picture of Jesus and let one child hide it in the room while another goes outside. After it is hidden, play "hot and cold" to find it. Singing louder is HOT and singing softer is COLD. The kids love it and you get to practice songs that would otherwise get old.
Keep having fun!! Jalyn
ps I just got back into primary myself!!

How fun!! You will be great! I have never had that calling, but I remember the cute lady who was the chorister when I was in primary had a super special hat she wore when she would come in. Not that you need a hat, but it just stuck with me.

The HOT and COLD thing can be used with things like pin the _____ on the _____. Teachers with a comic spirit are very fun to watch be blindfolded.

Mom had alot of things for primary music but I have no idea where it may be. I am sorry. If I see it I will let you know. You will be great. Love DAD

Yah for primary music!! That is my calling right now and I do love it as well. It's been almost a year and I keep thinking I'll run out of ideas, but they keep coming. I have found some fun one online, just through a google search. I am always suprised, it doesn't take much to wow the kids and they learn so fast. How exciting!!

My only advice is to make sure your skirt isn't tucked in your pantyhose. By the way I am still waiting.

I was laughing and thinking of you the other day. I somehow, and I really don't know how, had the fried ham cheese and bologna song in my head that you used to sing. Not that that helps your situation here, but just thought I'd share. You left a lingering impression, Miss Dean ;-)

Annie; Aunt Gena was just released as Primary Chorister. She has done it before also. I know she is full of ideas. She is really good at it. She has been substituting this past week so probably has not checked the blogs orshe would have answered you. I will mention it when she gets home. You might also comment about it on your blog. That way if she forgets my reminder she will see yours. Don't worry, Annie, you will be great. Just your sunny disposition and your beautiful smile will get their attention. Good luck and God bless you.

Love Grandma

You are totally the best person for the job! No suggestions, but I know that Anna loves her chorister so much that she always wants to act it out, like every day. Your influence is great!

Oh, by the way, I was accidentally signed in as KaraJ last time I commented (so that one above that says "How fun!!" is really from me)
