Mommy's little helper

Need I say more!

LAGOON!!

For the family party at work this year Cory's employers decided to do a day at Lagoon, complete with lime green shirts, WOO HOO! It was a blast, though a bit on the warm side. We got there early and the kids really enjoyed riding the rides.

When it got to be to warm to ride we ran through the fountain.
We concluded our day with a dinner of burgers and hot dogs and the it was back to Aunt Kira's house to play. All in all it was a great day

It's official...

...my husband is amazing! Earlier this year Cory was offered some extra experience at work. They gave him new projects and several new responsibilities and he has thrived. He's loving the job and the work. Today he was called into his supervisors office and told that the Management team is very impressed and they've decided to offer him a new position. As of Monday he'll be the supervisor of the Accountants. It will come with a pay increase and a lot of experience. He will have 4 employees that will report to him and he is so excited! I couldn't be prouder of him. When he started this job, being a leader was not one of his strong points (according to his managers) so it's good to see that they can now see what I see in him, HE'S AMAZING!

Cake!

Today we had some friends over, along with the boy's I babysit, and we made treasure cake. Essentially it is cupcakes that you put little snack sized candy bars in the middle of before you bake them. The kids had a blast and the mess was great! Yay for friends and cake!

We have a walker!

Though I believe it will probably be a few weeks before he is confident enough to do it completely himself, we officially have a walker on our hands. Jax took his very first wobbly steps yesterday. Here's some pictures. What a cute kid!

Happy Happy Birthday Jaxson Dear...

Jaxson enjoying a cupcake. We learned from Kena's first birthday though and so Jax did NOT get a candle!

Worms and Dirt, I can't think of anything that is more appropriate for our baby boy!

Jaxson loved his presents, though he was a little tired and thus not to enthused about being allowed to rip paper. This teddy bear giggles and he loves it. He was also peppered with various cars and dump trucks and a carousel with farm animals on it. Talk about a happy birthday!

Jaxson posing for a quick picture with his party planner. She is available for party gigs and comes highly recommended.

Today our sweet baby boy turns one. My how the time flies! It seems like just yesterday I was holding that tiny baby in my arms, and now he weighs more then his sister!!! We had a party filled with dirt cake and gifts and friends and family. All in all I think it was a great day and a good birthday.
