SUCCESS!!

The princess has asked that another declaration be issued to her subjects! (haha) Kenadee has gone 2 full days with no accidents and is officially wearing big girl undies, not those yucky pull-ups. We are so proud of our little sweetie and hoping that it sticks!

When life throws you lemons...

Yikes today has been one for the books. For the last week or so we've noticed our toilet slowly backing up. It got progressivley slower until this morning it was just unbearable. It seems that one of our little darlings flushed a toy that got stuck! So we bought an auger and went to work. We tried everything we could think of, including taking the toilet up and trying from the other side. NOTHING!! Now mind you we only have one bathroom in our house and we had a choice. After 2 hours of trying the choices were these; pay a plumber $100 to grace us with his presence on a weekend and then whatever he charged us for his services, or pay $80 for a new toilet. We went with plan B. It was probably needed as the toilet was 20 years old anyways. So now we have a lovely NEW toilet that is working well (After a couple ours of fiddling from my sweet husband!). Have I mentioned lately that I love being a homeowner!

Healthy baby

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is looking good. I've kept my weight gain low and I'm feeling really good. Baby has a nice strong heartbeat and the only down fall is that I'm 24 weeks and measuring like I'm 33 weeks. Looks like I'll have more "is it twins?" comments this time around, but after 3 other big kids what else is new right!

No...I wouldn't do that...

Last night after dinner, I did something I must admit I would never do. I took a hot Pyrex bowl, stuck it in my sink, then ran cold water over it to rinse it! I bet you can all guess what happened next. That's right, shattered glass all over my sink! What a mess. Now I know better then to put water on hot glass, but apparently when you're running on very little sleep, and you have 3 dancing children at your feet, not to mention a cat who wants to be fed and a phone that won't stop ringing, well lets just say it's a bad combo for anyone's Pyrex. So learn from me, hot Pyrex plus water equals BAD COMBO! Any questions? :)

A mixed up fairytale!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess. This beautiful princess had no desire to be potty trained. She would rather have the Queen wait on her hand, foot, and diaper. "Why give up the luxury if one didn't have to", she would say.

The Queen grew ever frustrated with the efforts being made for the beautiful princess. There were potty charts, with stickers a plenty, and rewards for those rare trips to the potty. All the Queens friends assured her that it would happen when the time was right, but the queen was distraught at the thought of three little heirs in diapers!!! YIKES!!

Then one morning the beautiful princess decided that she had had enough! This was the day to become all that she could be. She woke up, after a week with no trips to the potty, and said "I need to go" and go she did! The Queen was pleasantly suprised, yet not very hopeful. As the day wore on though it became aparent that the princess meant buisness. And that is why we are publishing this declaration, the princess has had no accidents today (and the Queen did not have to ask her to go once!)!! Our sweet princess is growing up and while we are sure that she will still have a few set backs, today is a major victory in our kingdom!

That's my big strong man!

Cory is still plugging along with his Masters Degree and will be done this Spring. I'm so darn proud of him and everything he does for us. He works a full time job (45+ hours a week) and does school full time. Not to mention that he is the ward financial clerk and an amazing father. It never ceases to amaze me at how well he balances everything that he has on his plate. He works so hard for our family and for me and I just don't think I say it enough, I have a big strong AMAZING man in my life, and I love him!

A new calling!

Last Sunday was my first week as Primary Choirister and I LOVE IT! What a fun calling. I get to goof off and play and teach little people songs that will help to strengthen their testimonies! It is so much fun. I want to be the best I can be so I'm asking for some suggestions from any and all who may read this. Have any of you had this calling before, or do you have any suggestions of activities that can be fun and invite the spirit? Thank you all for you help!
