Silly Kitty!

So Patches has definately become part of our family. He's warmed right up to us and made himself right at home. The last couple of days we've snapped some darn cute pictures of him and his wierd sleeping positions. What a fun kitty!

Patches in our kitchen drawer. I guess I didn't get it closed soon enough!

In his kitty house

We always heard cats like to curl up in balls. Apparently we were wrong!

Recent Happenings

Kena decided that she wants to be a CSI when she grows up! Just kidding but we did have a lot of fun with chalk. Thank heaven for warm weather.

We played with lots of friends, again thank you for warm weather. This is Joseph, Trace, Malaya, Kayden, and Kenadee all "fishing" in the stream in our back yard.

Trace got his very own big boy bike. He's been riding like crazy and telling everyone that he meets that "we wear helmets to keep us safe!" He should be in a Public Service Announcement.

And finally, this morning Jaxson got his first haircut. It had finally reached the point that he was getting fly aways so we sat him down and trimmed him up. (you'll have to excuse me in the picture, I'm not sure exactly why my face looks so HUGE! Maybe its cause I'd only been up for 5 minutes, or perhaps a bad angle)

A Curry Recipe

Chicken Curry

1 lb of chicken, cubed
1 1/2 tsp curry powder
4-5 Potatoes, cubed
1 chicken buillion cube
1 medium carrot
1 small onion
1 cup coconut milk
4-5 garlic cloves
Cayenne and chili powder
1 red bell pepper

Sautee the onion, chicken and garlic in some oil. When chicken is cooked through add coconut milk. When that boils add potatoes, carrots, and bouillon cube. Cook until potatoes are soft. Add curry powder. Then add chili and cayenne to taste. Add slice bell pepper just before serving. Serve over rice!

This is one of Cory's favorite recipies from his mission and it is definatley tasty (and inexpensive, woo hoo!)

What we did for Fathers day

We had a very tasty dinner last night and I thought I'd share some pics. We had Cory's favorite dish, Filipino Curry, and then finished it up with some Key lime pie. As you'll see from the pictures, everyone, Jax included, loved it!

The two best Dad's I know

Today I'd like to pay tribute to the best Dad's I know. First is the Daddy who raised me and taught me everthing I needed to know. My sweet Dad has been a great example and an excellent friend. Dad, you were and are always there for me. I know that if there was anything we needed you'd be there in a heartbeat and for the I'm truly greatful! I love you Daddy!!!

Then there is the Father of my children. He's such a great daddy! He loves our children and teaches them by example how to be great people. Nothing makes me feel more happy then to watch their faces light up and the "Daddy!"'s that are screamed as he comes home for work. They play and love and learn with their daddy! I love you sweetie!

Lesson's learned on a playground...

1) Play nice and share.

2) Don't eat dirt!

3) Don't go face first down a slide with a drop at the bottom unless someone is there to catch you.

Unfortunatley sweet Kena learned that one the hard way this evening. Poor girly got a fat lip and the only reason she cried is because we made her go home and she couldn't "swing more more"! Poor kid!

WHAT!?!

Last night Cory and I watched a beautiful sunset. It was one of those purple, orange, and pink numbers you get just before or just after a storm rolls through. Ours was a before the storm number and it was georgeous. But alas, nothing seems to last and this is what we woke up to this morning! Are we sure it's June?!? This is Cory scrapping his windows to go to work and I'd like everyone to note the little white specs (Or as we like to call them SNOW!!) in the picture.
