I don't know how many of you know this, but Trace qualified for free preschool because he needs a little extra help with his speech. Today was his first day of school and man was he excited. He woke up and was dressed before anyone else this morning. It was gonna be a good day! We talked about how to treat his teacher and what he should do should a confrontation arise. We walked in to hang up his coat and backpack, found his bin and name tag, then he went right over to the balance beam and forgot that Cory and I were even there. We waved our goodbyes, since it was obvious he would be just fine, and left. All in all I think it was a successful first day of school! What a big boy he's becoming. I'm glad that he's hitting all these milestones and being about to do things that other kids his age are able to do. We sure are blessed!
Just as a side note, I wish I'd had my camera on me. He woke up this morning with bed head, so we wet it down and comed it so he'd look "sharp" for his first day of school. He, however decided that he needed to wear his hood. No problem right? WRONG! When we got to school he had the worst case of hood hair I've ever seen! What a kid!
