My Blessings

I'm sitting here, watching my beautiful children playing blocks (nicely for a change) and counting my blessings. I have a wonderful little family. My Kiddo's have their moments, but they are amazing kids, full of love and life! They love each other (which makes me so happy) and for the most part play well together.
We'll be adding another little bundle to the crowd in just 3 days and I've been so blessed to have a trouble free pregnancy. In fact, it's just been the last couple of weeks that I've been truly uncomfortable. I'm so excited to meet him and hold him. Mason is going to be a great addition to our family.
Then there's my amazing husband. Cory is a God send to me and I don't think I can even express how much I love him. He's been incredible this pregnancy, helping around the house and dealing with the emotional me. He is my best friend and I will eternally indebted to my Heavenly Father for placing him in my life.
And did I mention we live in an awesome place! Our little valley may be small, but the people here are beyond incredible. I feel so loved and blessed by our ward. In sacrament meeting yesterday I had 4 people tell me they'd be willing to take our kids should I go into labor before Thursday, and 3 more offered to bring in meals. Our yard flooded a couple days back and we called our bishop for advice about the irrigation ditch and he told Cory yesterday that if we hadn't gotten it under control he would have gone to the head gates himself and shut it off for us. This ward is full of incredible people who genuinely care about each other and we are blessed to be a part of it.
All in all I am a blessed woman. I feel that to often I do more complaining then thanking, so I just wanted to take a second and say I am blessed!

My amazing VT's!

This morning started out just a bit on the rocky side. Kids were tired, I was tired, tempers were short, and we were all a bit cranky. But fear not, hope was not lost!
Enter Jamie and Tonya, my amazing Visiting Teachers. At noon I got a phone call asking if I'd made lunch yet, to which I replied "well...no." I was then instructed not to. No more then 5 minutes later they were at my door with frozen pizza for my kids, and some company (in the form of Paige and Wes) to entertain them. We sat and visited while the kids ate and then the real suprise came. My sweet VT's cleaned my bathroom SPOTLESS (I don't think it's been that clean since we moved in) and washed my dishes, and then to top it all off, they got down on their hands and knees and scrubed my kitchen floor, something my ever expanding belly has prevented me from doing for weeks now.
I've had some good visiting teachers in the past, but Jamie and Tonya truly exemplify the calling. They are amazing sisters who I'm glad to say are also my friends. So here's to you girls. You're amazing and incredible and if I didn't say it enough...THANK YOU!!!

The light at the end of the birth canal...err I mean tunnel

We've just come from the doctor and baby looks incredible. He's right on target size wise and it looks like he'll be joining our family on April 30th! We are so excited for him to join our family and we'll keep you updated!

Another year older...

Who could believe that just 3 short years ago, a nurse would hand me a sweet, rosy cheeked, amazing baby who would change my life forever! Today our Kenadee Lynn turns three and she's an awesome kid. We love her so much and can't imagine the family without her (I would be all alone with the boys after all!) So, in keeping with tradition, here are 3 things we love about Kena!

1. Trace loves that Kena helps him do things, and that she is ALWAYS willing to play with him.

2. Jax loves that Kena is more willing to share with him these days, and she always lets him sit on her bed so he can look out the window and whatever may be there.

3. And Mom and Dad love Kena's spirit. Yes she is stubborn, and sometimes a little emotional (who isn't), but she has the most beautiful spirit. She loves everyone and everything and we love her!

My new hero...

Daddy's little helper!

Over the course of my life there have been many hero's, but today I've found a new one to add the the list...Dwight! We woke up this morning to a foot (literally) of snow. Not the light powdery stuff either, the thick, dense, wet stuff. We headed out to be with Cory as he started shoveling, when up drove our neighbor Dwight. He has a little snow plow and told us if we'd move the car he'd be happy to plow our driveway! Needless to say this saved Cory (and his back) about an hours worth of work. So this is a shout out to our wonderful neighbor Dwight who has definitely earned his spot on my hero list!
Before Dwight...
Dwight to the rescue!
After Dwight, can we say WOO HOO!

Nesting...in full force!

I've been nesting like a mad woman! Poor Cory has been so good to put up with me and he hauls things to the shed and the garbage. I've made him clean out all our closets, re organize books, even clean the kitchen floor. And through it all he smiles and says he still loves. He even takes time out to rub my back and feet. Did I mention I have an amazing husband!

Today was very productive and I thought I'd share a picture. We've put all the older kids in the same room until baby is sleeping through the night, and then we'll move Kena back to her room; but until then it will be baby's room. We got his drawers all cleared out and clothes put away for him. Then we set up the new bassinet that Cory's co-workers gave to us. The kids were super excited to have a bed for the baby. I finally feel ready for Baby to be here...or at least until I get a nesting kick again, and then who knows what I'll find to do!

Just as a side note, this pircture was to cute not to share. Jaxson was drinking ranch dressing at lunch and it was hilarious!
