My dear friend Liz shared this recipe with me and it was just to good not to pass along. I mean who doesn't love a big soft pretzel dipped in cheese or mustard!
1/4 oz package of yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 T. Honey
Mix this ingredients together and let sit for 5 minutes to activate yeast
1 1/2 c. flour
Add this to the yeast mixture and mix (I found a little extra water may need to be added to make it all stick together)
Knead dough for 5-7 minutes and then place in a greased bowl for 20 minutes to rise.
Shape the dough into whatever shape you wish and then dip it in a solution of 1 T. Baking Soda and 3/4 C. water (You can eyeball it). Place on a greased cookie sheet and then sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake at 425 for 5-7 minutes.
They are seriously soooo good! I hope you all enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe. I just might use it today! And I'm glad to hear the good news about your new little man. Hopefully he won't decide to grow exponentially in the next few weeks!
guessing that you are making those for me as well as cookies.
