Memorial Day

Fossil Butte
Strarting the hike.

Mason had the best seat in town!

Cute kiddos in the aspen grove.

This Memorial day we decided to spend the day out and about and enjoying eachothers company. We went to Fossil Butte which is a prehistoric lake, and looked at fossils and hiked. It was a blast and so beautiful! We spent a couple of hours enjoying the view and playing. Then we headed into Kemmerer and got some tasty burgers and played some more. *sigh* What a perfect day!

Family Movie Night

We've started a new tradition at our house, and we like to call it Family Movie Fridays. Every other Friday we have a big tasty dinner, then rent a movie we can watch together, eat popcorn and just generally enjoy each others company. This past week we watched "The Spy Next Door". The kids loved it and I must admit it was a little dull but I loved that they loved it!
Jax's best "spy" pose!
Kena the Spy

Stealth...his name is Stealth.

Mmm dinner!

And homemade rootbeer. So tasty! Notice the towels around the base of the cooler. Yeah thats right folks, apparently a gallon of rootbeer fits nicely in a gallon container, until you add dry ice. My bad!

Kindergarten already?

Eyes close, but this is his proof! He's a graduate (of sorts..)
Trace doing "Row Your Boat" with is class. They memorize nursery rhyme's and songs. They even learned some sign language. It was so cute!

This week we got to go see Trace's end of year program, where he was presented with a certificate of completion from preschool. That means there are only 3weeks until Trace begins summer Kindergarten. I can't believe my little boy has gotten so big, but I am so proud of him and everything he's accomplished. Love you buddy! (forgive the pictures. My battery died about 10 minutes into the program...)

I always want to be with my own family...

Momma's cowboy!
Wait...I don't remember buying that toy?
Ham and Cheese
Toes!
Who doesn't love a swing?
The decided to start their "bucket" list... *wink*
Cat house/best toy ever
There's that smile!
Momma's beautiful Kena girl
Smile!
Who wouldn't want to spend an eternity with those little faces. I have perhaps the best family in the universe and I just thought you all should know!

Feliz Cumpleanos...thats how they say it in Spain!

Today my baby is one! My sweet Mason who is so cuddly and lovable...I can hardly believe it. Mason has bee a huge blessing to our family. He has a super mellow demeanor and he loves everyone. He wrestles with Jax and sits and looks at books with Trace. He lets Kena baby him and loves to be my cuddle buddy. In short, Mason is a perfect fit with our family. This next part is tradition, but rest assured there is so much more that we love about our Mesa Moo.

One of the things we love about Mason:

That smile. He makes you work for it, and I've never been able to do it justice on the camera, but when you win a grin it melts you're heart. Thank you for being my buddy! Happy Birthday Mason!

Down on the farm

Trace has wanted to ride a horse since we moved to Wyoming. He finally got his chance and loved every minute of it.
Jaxson was so funny. He was scared to death of the chickens and goats and turkeys, but as soon as we got to the cows and Clydesdale's he was in heaven. He wanted to pet them and get up close...so funny!

This scale showed the kids how they measured up to the animals. Trace was apparently pretty close to a goat!

Kena milking a cow. They had a plaster cow that had a bottle nipple attached to it so the kids could pretend. It was really cute to see them try.

Jaxson couldn't get enough of this cow. He didn't even want to go see the real animals. He would have been content just to hang out with his cow friend all day!

This weekend we went with Cory's parents to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. For any of you looking for an inexpensive way to entertain you kiddo's this is a good on. Admission is only 3.75 and the animals are awesome. As an added bonus we were there for the baby animals birthday party...which means there was cake! Woo hoo. We rode horses and played games, and even saw some baby animals. Everyone had a really great time. Thanks for the fun time Grandma and Papa!

We also got to see Grandpa Hadley graduate. We were so proud of him and everyone sat still and quietly through the whole ceremony! Congrats Papa!

Kenadee is 4...

Today my beautiful little girl turns 4! The time has flown and she's such a joy in our home and our life. Our family just wouldn't be the same without her darling dances and her sweet little voice. And now, as is the tradition, we'd like to share with you the top 4 things we love about Kena:
1. Kenadee is all girl. She loves Pink and Purple and anything frilly and ruffly. But she plays pirates and dinosaurs with the best of them! She's the perfect little girl!
2. Trace loves that Kena tells funny jokes. Knock knock are her favorites, by my personal favorite that she tells goes like this, "what do plants say before they start a race? Ready, Set, GO!" (the actual punch line is GROW, but we can't seem to get her to say it, no matter how hard we try) What a girl!
3. Kena sings. I love to hear here little voice ringing out in chorus's of ABC,Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, or even Follow the Prophet. But by far my favorite by far is when she sings the new primary song from this year. There's something about hearing my little girl sing "I KNOW He lives!" that warms my heart.
4. Kena just loves. She's so good with her brothers and patient. She plays with them so well and loves to help with little Mason. She holds and rocks him, feeds him bottles, and just in general loves them all. I can't imagine our family without our little sunshine, Kenadee! Happy Birthday Doll!
